Seven Sotos LLP lawyers named to Franchise Times’ 2013 list of Legal Eagles
One more reason we’re Canada’s leading franchise law firm: Franchise Times magazine has named seven of Sotos LLP’s lawyers to its esteemed list of Legal Eagles in 2013. The annual Franchise Times Legal Eagles list recognizes the best attorneys in franchising, as nominated by their clients and peers and selected after additional research by the Franchise Times editorial board.
Sotos LLP has more lawyers on the list than any other law firm in Canada.
Returning to the list for 2013 is John Sotos, who has been a fixture on the Legal Eagle list since it first began including Canadian lawyers. We are also very proud to announce the addition of six of our other lawyers, namely:
- Allan Dick – Litigation
- Jean-Marc Leclerc – Litigation
- David Sterns – Litigation
- Arthur Trebilcock – Transactional
- Peter Viitre – Transactional
- John Yiokaris – Transactional
Garnering special recognition are John Yiokaris and Allan Dick, who received some of the most nominations and had special commendations from their peers and clients.
Regarding John Yiokaris, the article quotes:
In addition to devoting a significant amount of time mentoring junior franchise associates, John Yiokaris regularly speaks at industry events and legal symposiums, consults on law-making court cases, and regularly drafts seamless contracts and documents.
Speaking of Allan Dick, the article quotes two of his nominators:
Allan Dick is among the most senior and accomplished franchise litigators in Canada.” • “He thinks out of the box and goes for the win-win for franchisor and franchisee.
The Franchise Times Legal Eagles 2013 confirms what Sotos LLP’s clients have known for a long time: that we have the largest and most experienced franchise law group in Canada.
