Lauren is our articling student for the 2019-2020 term. She works with both the commercial and litigation departments of the firm. Lauren recently graduated from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. Prior to joining Sotos LLP, Lauren spent two summers working with in-house counsel at an international financial services provider. While at Queen’s, Lauren was a student caseworker at the Queen’s Elder Law Clinic, providing legal services to clients who would otherwise be unable to afford such services. She also volunteered as a student caseworker for the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic, with the Queen’s University Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada and sat on the board of the Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston.

More About Lauren Baker
As a recent graduate of the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University, my primary focus is helping our clients realize their goals by applying what I have already learned, while also expanding my knowledge and practice of franchise law, corporate law and litigation. I have been an avid equestrian since the age of 9, and currently own a pony named Connie. I am also a dedicated (and arguably patient) fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
